George Raymond Glenn was born in Detroit, Mi. Raised by his parents in Royal Oak Township (Feradale, Mi.) George L. Glenn his father an insurance salesman and Ford Motor Co. Employee. His mother was a homemaker and police officer. He attended George Washington Carver elementary school and The Highland Park High school system. He attended the Highland Park Jr. College and The University of Detroit. He was formally married to Ernestine Glenn for thirty years. Two Daughters, Rhonda Lynette and Dana Lavette were born to this union. He successfully operated Glenn Brothers Janitorial Services, and then in 1967 he opened a Shell Service Station in the Detroit area. He became an entrepreneur obtaining properties throughout the Detroit metropolitan area and overseas. He is known for his ability to skillfully manage properties. He has travel through out the world obtaining knowledge. He became a car buff in the early sixties, acquiring several race cars and also building several show cars that were toured through out the county. He was known in the car world circuit as the Deacon. He received many awards including the coveted Best of Car Show Awards, sponsored by the International Show Car Association (ISCA). Also the Best of Show Car Award in the 2004 Dream Cruise on Woodward Ave. He was involved in many organization, Motown Automotive Professionals car club, Detroit Chamber of Commerce, Advisory Board Shell Oil Co. Dealers Association, Motown Automotive Professionals nonprofit (MAPn), President of Greater Grace Federal Credit Union, President of Greater Grace Housing Board. He was also Vice Chairmen of Greater Grace Temple Board and he also served on The Greater Grace Temple Board of Directors. He attributes his success for his love of God and his service to others.
